The law regarding the Donor Register changed on 1 July 2020. In the new Donor Register, you will be able to state whether or not you wish your organs and body tissues to be given to a patient after your death. This could include your kidney, lungs or skin. If you do not register a choice, ‘No objections to organ donation’ will be noted next to your name in the Register. This means that your organs may be given to a patient after your death. You can register your choice at If you have already entered your choice, you do not need to take any further action.
