Injustice and exclusion based on origin creeps under the skin and hurts. This applies to the brutal excesses such as the death of George Floyd, but also to the implicit and subtle discrimination that people experience every day in the Netherlands.
SKIN-Rotterdam remains committed to the people of the international churches. That they are not hindered in finding work or a home on the basis of origin. That they do not get stuck in the systems and that young people have equal opportunities.
We pray and expect that the current protest will come under everyone’s skin and encourage change at all levels. That our unity in all diversity becomes an unstoppable force. So that no generation will experience injustice and exclusion based on origin.
