We would like to invite you to our first Women in Ministry gathering this fall:

“Safety in the Church: An Open Conversation”

The church should be a safe place for everyone. Unfortunately, there have been numerous stories of individuals who have experienced inappropriate behavior within their faith communities. Often, these issues are kept quiet due to shame or power dynamics, especially when elders or pastors are involved.

During this Women in Ministry gathering, we will discuss how to make our churches safer. We will share experiences and explore what we can do to create a culture of safety. Some churches affiliated with SKIN-Rotterdam have already started working on this and are eager to share their insights.

Karin de Schipper, the director of SKIN-Rotterdam, will guide us through the evening. We invite all participants to engage in an open and respectful conversation, without judgment of others’ opinions and feelings. As always, we will also pray and share a meal together.

All female pastors and pastors’ wives are warmly welcomed. Attendance is free!
