Serve the City is part of the Samen 010 Foundation and on behalf of Samen 010 and SKIN-Rotterdam we would like to invite you to our annual Diaconal Day, this year on Saturday, September 28 in the Opstandingskerk at Lisplein 1, 3037 AP Rotterdam (Noord). This day will last from 10:00 to 14:00 and includes lunch.

For whom
The diaconal day is intended for new deacons, for deacons who have been around for some time, but also for church members with an interest in diaconal work. If you know people in your congregation who are interested in this day, please forward the invitation to them!

09.45 am: walk-in with coffee and tea

10.30 am: start first round of workshops
11.45 hrs: break with common lunch

Poverty on the track
As a diaconate, how do you reach people with financial concerns? But also what do you help them the most with?
Loneliness
How can you start the conversation about loneliness? How do you meet people in your neighborhood who are lonely?
Diaconate across church walls (Given by SKIN)
Be inspired by two churches talking about how they are meaningful in the neighborhood. How has their involvement grown and with whom do they partner in this? – What can your church learn from this?
