DESCRIPTION:\nA monthly vigil is held at the Rotterdam Detention Center as a protest against the senseless and inhumane confinement of foreigners.\nWhile no flights leave for outside Europe because of corona they are locked up to be removed from the Netherlands. And because of the corona policy they remain locked in their cells for 21 hours a day.\nDuring the wakes the participants stand in a large circle, one and a half meters from each other. Through songs, poems, prayers and stories we express our shame and dissatisfaction with the Dutch immigration policy. Everyone is welcome, but please only come if you have no corona-related complaints.\n
